Solving the Problem

Selected Opportunity: It is difficult for many athletes to make healthy meals that fit their nutritional needs during demanding training schedules.

My Solution:

The Basis: A meal delivery service for athletes

The Details:
·       Quick and easy to prepare meals
·       Fresh, whole food, healthy
·       High protein, more carbs and healthy fats than other meal services to enhance athletic performance
·       Vegetarian – include suggestion cards to add meat if desired (not including meat will keep costs down and make things easier)
·       Different package options
o   Number of people to serve – 1 or 2
o   Portions – light or regular (to differentiate between people who want to lean down verses maintain or bulk up)
o   Number of meals per week
§  Different plans – just dinners, just grab-and go lunches, or both
o   Optional add-ons - healthy snacks, smoothie/recovery shake boosters

  1. Hey Leah! I think this solution is genius! I love how it caters to athletes because they are super busy and a lot of times get injured because of malnutrition. Great idea!

  2. Hey Leah,

I strongly agree with you that there is an opportunity here due to my past experience playing soccer all the time and having little to no free time at all because of such a demanding schedule and I think quick and easy meals were what saved me so much time while giving me the energy to finish what I needed to complete.

  3. Hi Leah.

I think that you have a really great solution. Athletes undoubtedly have busy schedules. With all of their practices and trainings it may be hard for them to prepare decent meals on a regular schedule. I like that you provided a lot of variety in your meal options as well. I think it would be a great help to make better food choices and stop impulse buys. Great idea!
