Create a Customer Avatar
I have identified my segment as athletes aged 18-45. Here is
a list of characteristics my prototypical consumers share. They…
·
feel energized after getting up at the crack of
dawn to work out
·
take photos of their post workout smoothie bowls
afterward
·
get excited about completely unblemished pieces
of fruit and firm, crispy vegetables
·
spend lots of money at Lululemon
go out to dinner with friends simply for the social aspect
go out to dinner with friends simply for the social aspect
·
relax by reading books or watching documentaries
about food
·
perk up at the words “power bowl, quinoa, kale,
and nut butter”
·
think the greener the smoothie, the better
(note: they always have a freezer full of frozen bananas)
·
pack snacks first when travelling (and they love
to travel to new places)
·
feel younger than they actually are
·
listen to pump up music in the shower, the car,
and the kitchen (their Bluetooth speaker is a favorite item)
·
randomly start doing squats or stair runs
(sometimes in public places)
·
sneakily brag about how much weight they used at
the gym
·
enjoy solo dance parties
·
like to watch American Ninja Warrior
·
have an excessive amount of Nike running shoes
·
wear joggers whenever possible
·
walk faster than everyone else
·
don’t know what an off day is like
Me vs my prototypical consumer:
Turns out, I have a lot in common with my prototypical
consumer. This is probably because the
idea for my business started from a problem my teammates and I have discussed
regularly. Athletes in general have a
lot in common, and being one of them, I personally experience many of these
things.
Hi Leah, I really enjoyed reading your blog post. You have a very descriptive view of your customer which is great because that is a very specific demographic. Like you, when I did my "Create a Customer Avatar" assignment, I essentially based my prototpyical customer off of myself. The reason being it was easier basing it off myself because I feel like they would share the same traits I have. Overall, I enjoyed reading your blog post.
ReplyDeleteHi Leah!
ReplyDeleteCute blog post! I like that you incorporated other pictures that give a true perspective for your prototypical customer. I have "some" of the traits you listed, but let me tell you I'm older and enjoy a day off doing nothing, watching Netflix and eating a double bacon pizza with onions lol! Since you live the lifestyle, you definitely know what your customers need. Great job!
Here's my blog for my avatar if interested :)

Hey Leahl! I think this post was very well thought out and loved seeing your target customer base. I can definitely relate to some of the characteristics you mentioned like feeling totally energized after killing a workout!
ReplyDeleteHi Leah!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved reading about your target consumer. The way your wrote out your post combined with the images really helped contribute to the idea of the type of consumer you might be targeting, and is one that I believe that exists and might be able to be capitalized on should you choose to market to them. I felt that the traits you listed definitely helped create the idea of a "person" that constitutes the ideal consumer, and made me feel like I might be able to more easily relate to and want to buy your product, something I feel is intended for us by this assignment.
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Leah,
ReplyDeleteYour blogs are always so clear and professional looking it is quite impressive and I have been following your product since the beginning and have said myself I would be interested in your product so I find it especially fitting that your avatar with the Nike shoes is the exact pair of shoes I have and wear everyday to class.
