Elevator Pitch 3

Reflection
At the time I recorded this pitch, I had only received a few comments on my second elevator pitch. Most of them praised how it was even better than my first. Someone commented on how I could include a plate of food in my pitch to demonstrate the product. At first, I thought it was a great idea, and I tried adding it into my pitch. However, I decided that it created more a distraction (perhaps people would be focused on if the food looked good or not instead of the content of my business pitch) instead of adding to my pitch. Thus, I opted to keep the props out.

What did I change?
I kept the content of my pitch mostly the same, but I believe my performance was a bit better. The words come out super easily now that I have said it many times. In fact, this video only took one take! Thanks to practice, I could focus more on enunciation and gestures than what I was saying. The biggest difference between my second and third pitch? I was wearing a different shirt!

  1. Hi Leah, this elevator pitch like your other two was extremely great. I would say it is practically perfect but everything can still be improved upon. I think I might have said this in a previous comment, but it definitely looks like you practiced your pitch over and over again because it is so good. The reason behind why I think this is because it sounds like you know what you are talking about and your speech is clear and concise.

  2. Hey Leah!

I totally understand the props aspect and not bringing examples in. I faced props in my pitches. I was hoping that you would look and comment on just one of my posts. I haven't heard from you yet. Your pitch seems the same as before. Your energetic and know what you are after. Good Job!

  3. Hello Leah,
I loved your elevator pitch! I agree that a prop may have been a distraction, so I think it was a good idea to not include it. I loved the way you presented the pitch and the energy you displayed with it. Overall I would not change anything in your pitch, I think you did a great job perfecting it over the past 3 assignments.

  4. Leah,

Your hook is pretty solid and is improved with the visible enthusiasm you have for your business idea. One of my favorite aspects if your business is that you are catering to busy student athletes and that you are yourself a student athlete. Another great thing about your pitch is your closing line: "Get strong. Don't train hungry." You mention briefly that you have conducted market research in Gainesville and it may be beneficial to inform the average listener what research you have already conducted. In addition, it might be beneficial to highlight just a couple of the connections that you allude to during the elevator pitch. Overall, great work!

  5. Hey Leah,

Your elevator pitches continuously improve and since you get many comments on your post due to you doing your work ahead of time, you get a good mix of comments that complement your strengths and you also get a lot of feedback on what can be better and with every new elevator pitch you do, your idea strengthens. Each time I watch your pitch there is more enthusiasm than the last and since it is already a good idea for a product, your pitch comes together to get your consumers attention which I think will lead to your success.

  6. Hi Leah.
Great job on your elevator pitch. This is my first time commenting under your elevator pitch, but from what I can take a way from your pitch is that you really grasped the concept of what you are marketing to others. I agree, adding some visual elements to your pitch is a great way to actively allow your audience to understand further what you are trying to convey. Overall, I really enjoyed watching your video.

  7. Hey Leah!

Your idea and solution are great. You're right there's isn't one geared to active athletes. I think you will do great. I also love your pitch don't train hungry its catchy. your pitch was perfectly executed. You have the enthusiasm the ideas organized and the pricing/profit. Youre venture should start soon as you're still actively involved with your blog and in the school campus.
